Eric Raymond is the manager of The Misfits. He is brought in by Elise to try and calm the band's wild behaviour - but is much more interested in bringing down Jem and The Holograms. His assistant is Techrat.

Cartoon Incarnation

In the original cartoon, Eric Raymond was voiced by Charlie Adler and made his debut in the 1985 episode The Beginning. Eric was the Misfits' manager and a major antagonist to the Holograms. He was always plotting about how to gain full control of Starlight Music, the Holograms' label in the cartoon. He was very greedy and shown numerous times to be constantly concerned primarily about his own financial gain.

Redesign

Eric's redesign was similar to his cartoon self. He continues to scheme against the Holograms, however, his plots have been massively toned down for the comic and are no longer massively illegal.

While he is still a businessman in nature, Eric focuses a little more on the needs of the band than his cartoon counterpart did.

Trivia

  • Unlike the rest of the IDW Jem characters that were designed by artist Sophie Campbell, Eric and Craig were designed by Emma Vieceli. [2]
  • Hasbro never originally planned to release him as a doll, but an Eric doll was made as part of Integrity Toys' 2015 commemorative doll line.
