Official Synopsis[]
- "Still reeling from the shattering conclusion to “Dark Jem,” Jem and The Holograms regroup – desperate to find a path forward. Meanwhile, The Misfits find themselves with a unique problem… one lead singer too many!"
Plot Summary[]
Jem and The Holograms, staying at a lakehouse, are recording a new single - Breaking Away. Shana is uncomfortable about something, though, and has to leave. The Holograms decide to give up for the day, and take a break relaxing at the lake. They plan a bonfire dinner, inviting Rio, Craig, Tony and Stormer. Jerrica is still conflicted about inviting Stormer into their lives, because she is in their rival band.
The Misfits are recording a new song, Breaking Out. Pizzazz thinks one of the lyrics doesn't work, and Blaze suggests an alternative lyric, which works. Irritated by this, Pizzazz tells the bands to pack up their things and get ready to go out. Stormer tells Pizzazz she can't, because she already has plans - the bonfire at the lake house. Pizzazz tells her she's choosing The Holograms over The Misfits, and it's clear that The Holograms matter more to her
Jerrica tells Aja that she's considering telling Rio about Synergy. Aja suggest that it's too dangerous, because even if they trust Rio's integrity, the other girls will want to tell their partners too - specifically, Kimber will want to tell Stormer. They question how much Stormer can be trusted. Meanwhile, Stormer, driving up to the bonfire dinner, gets lost when her GPS fails. She swerves to avoid a deer and crashes her car into a tree, cutting her head. Kimber and the others realize that Stormer hasn't arrived, and split up in separate cars to go looking for her. In the forest, Stormer, wandering around trying to get service on her phone, gets attacked by a bear.
